Due to Coronavirus pretty much all scheduled events have been cancelled with the exception of local Farmers Markets. However there are some really nice drives to places of interest in and around South Gippsland. Please scroll to a destination to to find out more.






Wilsons Promontory VIC 3960, Australia
Wilson Prom National Park
The Prom is one of Victoria’s most-loved places.
At the southernmost tip of mainland Australia, it offers spectacular scenery of huge granite mountains, open forest, rainforest, sweeping beaches and coastlines.
Great bushwalks extend from under an hour to over three days. Visitors can camp, caravan or stay in huts, cabins, wilderness retreats or lodges at Tidal River where there is a general store and take-away food shop.
Wilsons Promontory Light station is perched on a small peninsula jutting into the wild seas of Bass Strait.
The waters surrounding the Prom are protected as a marine national park and marine park and offer outstanding diving.

Coal Creek Village
Coal Creek Community Park and Museum - FREE ENTRY and unlimited fun for the whole family. Come along and ride the bush tramway, buy some old fashioned lollies from the general store, and feed the ducks in the lake. While you're here drop in and have a look at our Community Gallery, and be sure to talk to our volunteers for their knowledge of local history. Come on one of our scary Ghost Tours and see the village at night.

Stony Creek Go Carts
Serious Fun - Only 15 to 20 minutes drive from Loves Lane Cottages, near Meeniyan
Established in 2008 Stony Creek Go Karts is the newest and most exciting hire kart track in Victoria.
For individuals, parties and groups of up to 50 people. Stony Creek Go Karts is one of the few tracks who hire out karts as well as provide facilities to bring your own.

Great Southern Rail Trail
A picturesque rail trail close to Melbourne, Phillip Island and Wilsons Promontory. This rail trail has seen many major improvements in recent years including the opening of the Black Spur bridges near Koonwarra in March 2016. The rail trail has an easily accessible and wide smooth track.

A very pleasant forest trail in the heart of South Gippsland that traverses 13 klms of beautiful mountain countryside with a gentle trail grade between Boolarra and Mirboo North.

Waratah Hill is located on the road to the iconic Wilsons Promontory National Park, is one of the southern most vineyards on the Australian mainland.
